Calculation method of filling rate of grinding body  

The filling rate of the grinding body can be calculated according to the inner diameter of the grinding machine and the distance from the surface of the grinding body to the highest point of the lining of the grinding machine. If the lining plate is of a special shape, such as corrugated or stepped type, it must be reasonably corrected and the average value should be used.  

Filling rate can be simplified as :=1.068-1.164 (H/D)  

H is the distance from the grinding surface to the highest point of the liner  

D is the effective inner diameter of the mill  

Measurement of top height:  

The formula for calculating the filling rate of grinding body is:  

=3/360-sin 3 / 2JT

Height from the surface of the grinding body to the top of the grinding inside H:  

H = (1/2) D + H = (1/2) + D (1/2) Dcos (beta / 2), (2)

D is the effective inner diameter of the mill,  

H is the height from the surface of the grinding body to the center of the mill, m

Cosine of beta over 2 is equal to 2 times H/D times 1

According to Formula (3), after H value is measured, D is a known number for a certain mill, and β value can be calculated. Filling rate can be calculated according to Formula (1).  The relationship between H/D and o are shown in table 1.
