A simple production process of steel ball  

Ball forming → ring removal → rough grinding → soft grinding → heat treatment → ball forming → smooth ball (or file)

1. Stretching (wire drawing) :

6. Hard grinding:  

In order to remove the black oxide layer on the surface of the ball and correct the precision of the ball, the grinding wheel circular plate in the grinding machine grinds the heat treated ball blank under pressure.
